| Roberto Conte's rocky big brother ride is over. He is the 4th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother 6 house. Co-nominee Derek raises his eyebrows in surprise, Roberto seems less shocked and takes the news with a smile and a bow. He tells his soon to be ex-housemates "I've not been bored, all the time I've been in here", which is hardly surprising, considering the amount of kitchen sink drama he endured! |
| Roberto leaves after one of the closest Big Brother eviction votes, he received a 53% share to Derek's 47%. |
| The Friday night BB mob receive him back into the real world with some boos (for the flowery shirt perhaps?), but also plenty of cheers. He enjoys his moment on the podium and raises his arms to celebrate his freedom. He gives Davina a warm hug before she escorts him to the paparazzi fest. He poses casually and stands with a fixed grin befitting of a catalogue underwear model! |
| The Davina interview gets off to a flirtatious start, until Roberto remembers his hostess is a married woman! |
| Roberto's feelings on leaving the house are mixed, but he tells Davina he believes "the best is yet to come". He says he wasn't surprised to be evicted "it was a bit of a school party and I weren't in it. I'm the teacher aren't I?" |
| During a lighthearted interview, Davina tells Roberto his phrase "mother-funky" is going to be in the Oxford English Dictionary next year! |
| Despite his many arguments with Science, the Italiapudlian says he's a bit surprised the Leeds lad nominated him "I tried to look after the kid a little bit, because I thought he had a good soul. But he was very erratic in the way that he acts." |
| Masterchef Roberto certainly doesn't mince his words. Quoting that much used phrase "At the end of the day..." Roberto explains why he got into so many rows in the house "I always try to think ahead and for everyone else, wheras people in there are extremely selfish... The problem was the food... because I didn't want to be in short supply and other people just didn't give a monkey about anything as long as they filled their belly..." |
| He singles Maxwell out as "one of the greediest persons. He (Max) said 'I'm not bothered about food', but when the food was there he was really like a scavenger, and he always asked for more." |
| When Davina says 'thank you' to Roberto for working really hard on the tasks he seems genuinely touched by her sincerity. So too are the audience who applaud him loudly. "I always thought you know, if you get your backside into gear, it's going to be hard but at the end of the day we will get the benefit. But they didn't see that at all... in my opinion (due to) a lot of immaturity." |
| Davina runs through a few of the housemate's names for Roberto's reaction. |
Kemal: Too erratic... double faced. |
Maxwell: (Audience boos compete with audience cheers) He's a funny bloke for like a day or two, but afterwards he becomes boring. He's all on one level. Always he just do practical jokes, and after that he's very, very selfish. |
Science: (More audience boos and cheers) He's got a good soul but he needs to smooth the edges a little bit... |
Saskia: Very false. Very like with a master plan in her head. She's messing about with Maxwell and that's a shame because she doesn't really fancy him... |
Craig: ...has got a good heart. He's a good young man. He's got heart and he's sensible for his age... If he changed a little bit it was just for his own mental sanity because he had a lot of pressure. |
Vanessa: Very greedy... (although Roberto adds:) ...all of them were greedy! |
Derek: He's a top bloke, you know, I get on with him. (Audience heckler shouts 'Do you fancy him?':) ...No not really, you might do but I don't. No offence to gay, bisexual, you know I love them all. |
| "What did you learn about yourself in that house?" asks Davina. |
| "...I'm not such a bad guy, and I think I'm willing to share with people. I'm very sensible and..." |
| "Very modest?" suggests Davina. |
"...maybe modest is not one of my best qualities" admits Roberto, but he explains where he's coming from, "I try to... when I do something put in the maximum effort, and if I don't succeed, you know 'fair enough'. I'm not too disappointed the fact that I've been kicked out. I realise I am passionate..." "He's passionate!" Davina emphasises, in case that went by any ladies in the audience. "Whooooo!" say the ladies. Roberto smiles broadly. It looks like life outside the house may well turn out to be a lot more enjoyable than life inside! |
